Sikkim · Best: Apr–Nov
Sikkim's big one: a ~90 km round trip through Kanchenjunga National Park's rhododendron forest to the Goechala viewpoint at ~4,940 m. Sunrise on Kanchenjunga's east face from Dzongri or View Point 1 is what people come for.
Ten days, several camps above 4,000 m and a pre-dawn final push make it genuinely difficult. Sikkim requires permits and a registered guide; April–May brings blooms, October–November the clearest air.

Every one of them is something a brochure can't tell you.
“I booked a 30-person batch. There were 72 of us on the trail. Nobody warned me — you can warn the next person.”
Five taps and a few honest lines — about two minutes.
